About Mooky
I started Mooky (in collaboration with my daughter, Amalia, then aged 4) in 2010, with an aspiration to provide stylish kids shoes with all the features that we look for as a parent - affordability, versatility, durability, oh and did i say gorgeability?
I chose the moccasin design for the launch range as i had grown up wearing these, brought home from trips to the U.S and I loved them. I can’t think of a more versatile shoe. I find that younger kids love them because they look just like mum and dads, and they're perfect for the tweeny age, as they're a little grown-up without being precocious.
Mooky now has a few new designs which i can't wait to expand on. Watch this space....
The nickname ‘Mooky’ was given to me by a great childhood friend.
I may have inherited some genetic tendency with the founding of Mooky: my aunt is Double Bay shoe Designer Jane Blundell; and my great-grandparents founded and ran Australian footwear company Abbey Shoes for 50 years.
